Dear SPE Vietnam Fellows,
Because of the completion of my job assignment in Vietnam, I’m resigning from SPE Vietnam Section Chairman’s position. I’m pleased to announce a new Section Chairman who has been elected by the Section Committee yesterday – Dr. Do Van Khanh (Chairman of PV Drilling Board). My big congratulations to Dr. Khanh and I wish him every success in this role. I’m sure Dr. Khanh will efficiently lead SPE Vietnam and develop it towards new targets and achievements.
By this chance, I would like to provide my big thanks and appreciation to all of you for your support during my time with SPE Vietnam Committee (1+ year in a Technical Program Co-Chair role and nearly 2 years as a Section’s Chairman). It was a great (though very challenging!) opportunity for me, and I believe together we did many good things implementing global SPE missions in Vietnam. This joint work has been recognized by SPE International – in 2015 and 2016 the Vietnam Section has been awarded Gold Standard Certificates and in 2017 has received the President’s Award for Section Excellence – the top level SPE award. I’m very proud that we have achieved such significant results together.
I wish all of you and your families all the best in the future, and wish SPE Vietnam higher targets and new achievements implementing its important missions in Vietnam.
